> Business Hotel ビジネスホテル

Japanese business hotels are a great alternative to the larger expensive chain hotels. These are typically chains which provide single – or double-occupancy accommodations for a reasonable charge — usually well under ¥10,000/night.

 

> Ryokan 旅館

A ryokan is a type of traditional Japanese inn that typically feature tatami-matted rooms, communal baths, and other public areas where visitors may wear yukata and talk with the owner.

 

> Capsele Hotel カプセルホテル

A capsule hotel, also known as a pod hotel, is a type of hotel developed in Japan that features a large number of small bed-sized rooms known as capsules.

 

> Love Hotel ラブホテル or ラブホ

A love hotel is a type of short-stay hotel found around the world operated primarily for the purpose of allowing guests privacy for sexual activities. The name originates from "Hotel Love" in Osaka, which was built in 1968 and had a rotating sign.
